Or possibly someone renting a gite where the cleaning of it on leaving is part of the deal.
The village could make this kind of thing less likely by providing public bins for people departing from holiday. The rubbish collection is overnight on Wednesday so we always had more rubbish to deal with by the time we left on a Sunday and there is nowhere in the village to put it. The only public bins are the glass recycling bins.
We could leave recycling in the cellar until our next visit but the black bin was always a problem. We could usually take it with us but not everyone can. We sometimes had to carry a smelly bag of rubbish in the car a long way before we could find somewhere acceptable to leave it, such as a bin at a motorway services.
There are bins down by the football ground which we found eventually and we left our bag their for the last few years, but we had no idea whether we were allowed to as there are no signs saying if they were for public use, we just used to sneak in and leave quickly, just in case! There were certainly no signs in the village directing people to them.
There are public bins in Paulmy so it's no longer a problem for us.Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09726164724131916224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1554428418150974947.post-21973556396016261252015-08-15T20:05:13.956+02:002015-08-15T20:05:13.956+02:00Well done for clearing up. I've never had to clear up rubbish like this, but I have felt the need to apologise to French people after English 'friends' (ex friends now I am pleased to say)have been thoroughly rude to them, both by attitude and vocal expressions!
